Vendor Policy

How do I become a MEEC Vendor?

Vendors may only become a MEEC vendor by being awarded a contract after participating in a MEEC Request for Proposal (RFP). The MEEC contracts and RFPs for IT hardware, software, and services are hosted by procurement officers from MEEC member institutions.

The MEEC hosted RFPs are most often posted on eMaryland Marketplace Advantage https://emma.maryland.gov/page.aspx/en/rfp/request_browse_public by the host institution. Notices of an RFP are also posted on the host institution’s procurement webpage and on MEEC’s website https://meec-edu.org/ under News, and to MEEC’s LinkedIn page. The RFPs follow the host institution’s procurement policies and the University System of Maryland Procurement Policies and Procedures.

Vendors cannot be added to an existing MEEC contract unless the contract has an expansion window.  Currently the IT Security Services & Solutions agreement is the only agreement MEEC has that has an expansion window.
